The article is devoted to creating new scientific solutions for addressing the economic reconfiguration of the value creation process in air transport services as a form of adaptation to infrastructure constraints. The article aims to substantiate the concept and provide a theoretical characterization of the economic reconfiguration of the value creation process in Ukraine’s air transport services as a form of adaptation to the infrastructure constraints affecting the country’s aviation industry since the onset of the full-scale invasion and hostilities on its territory. Methodology: The study uses the following methods of scientific inquiry: literature analysis and synthesis to develop definitions of the terms “economic reconfiguration,” “spatial reconfiguration,” and “economic reconfiguration of the value creation process for air transport services”; the historical method to examine the challenges associated with the value creation process for air transport services in Ukraine; economic and mathematical methods to assess the impact of seven interrelated dimensions (spatial, functional, cost, coordination, distributional, risk, and consumer) on the economic reconfiguration of the value creation process for air transport services in Ukraine; graphical analysis and logical generalization to provide a theoretical characterization of the dimensions of the economic reconfiguration of the value creation process for air transport services; and the scenario method to develop four projections for the development of the economic reconfiguration of the value creation process for air transport services in Ukraine. Results: the author's definition of the economic reconfiguration of the value creation process in air transport services has been formulated as being caused by stable infrastructural constraints, a structural change in the set of available nodes and routes, the distribution of functions between participants, methods of coordination, the structure of economic costs, and the risk profile. Practical significance: The practical implementation of the proposals and findings of this article should be considered in the context of their relevance to adapting Ukraine’s air transport sector to the challenges posed by the war. Uniqueness/value: The study formulates four directional predictions about the economic reconfiguration of the value-creation process in Ukraine's air transport services, focusing on asset specificity and switching costs, the value of time and reliability, node substitutability, and digital-institutional compatibility.
