Abstract

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological foundations of task management within the system of organizing the personal work of a construction enterprise manager and to develop a structural and logical model for managing the flow of professional tasks. The methodological basis of the study comprises a systems approach, methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison and generalization, as well as structural and logical modeling. The study identifies the differences between time management and professional task flow management and determines the specific features of task management in construction arising from task multiplicity and interdependence, changing priorities, and work interruptions. A structural and logical model of professional task flow management is proposed. It includes task capture, clarification of the expected result, decomposition, identification of dependencies, determination of priorities and deadlines, limitation of the number of simultaneously active tasks, execution, and completion control. The expediency of applying WIP limits to reduce excessive multitasking and maintain focus on task completion is substantiated. Digital tools are considered as a means of supporting task capture, visualization, coordination, and control rather than replacing managerial decisions concerning priorities, dependencies, and expected results. The practical value of the proposed approach lies in its potential application by construction enterprise managers to organize individual workloads, ensure more consistent task completion, and coordinate professional activities in a dynamic construction environment. The scientific novelty consists in improving the theoretical and methodological approach to personal work organization by integrating task decomposition, dependency management, prioritization, WIP limits, and completion control into a unified structural and logical model of professional task flow management.
