The article is devoted to developing new scientific solutions to ensure a circular post-industrial transition of Ukraine’s economy as a fundamental component of the wartime and post-war recovery of the Ukrainian economic system and its elements, primarily business organizations and the population. The purpose of the article is to examine the strategic prospects for the circular post-industrial transition of Ukraine’s economy based on providing features of the key contemporary paradigms for structuring economic relations (“green economic growth,” “post-growth,” and “circular growth”), as well as the types of circular economy models (negative, neutral, and positive). Methodology: The study employed a combination of general and specialized methods at the empirical and theoretical levels, including: literature analysis, to reveal the scientific discussion on issues related to the circular model of development of economic systems at different levels; historical analysis, to identify the challenges of the circular transition worldwide and the development of Ukraine’s economy, including under conditions of ongoing military operations within the country; logical generalization, to provide a theoretical characterization of three paradigms for building economic relations (“green economic growth,” “post-growth,” and “circular growth”) and three types of circular economic models (negative, neutral, and positive); induction and deduction, to explore the strategic prospects for the circular development of Ukraine’s economic system; and scientific abstraction, to identify the challenges and advantages of transitioning Ukraine’s economy to a circular development model. Results: The strategic prospects, challenges, and advantages of transitioning Ukraine’s economic system and its constituent components (elements) to a circular model of economic development have been identified. Practical significance: The proposals presented in this article should be considered in the context of their importance for ensuring the sustainable long-term development of Ukraine’s economy, as well as the country’s business organizations and population, including in the context of post-war recovery. Originality / Value – Approaches to developing pathways for the wartime and post-war recovery of Ukraine’s economy have been improved. Unlike existing approaches, they are based on identifying the strategic development prospects of the country’s economic system through a circular post-industrial transition.
