Technologies of Industry 4.0 as a driver of strategic changes in Ukrainian entrepreneurship

The article is devoted to the study of the features of the impact of Industry 4.0 technologies on the strategic development of Ukrainian entrepreneurship in various sectors of the economy. To achieve the set research goal, key Industry 4.0 technologies have been identified: the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, cyber-physical systems, 3D printing, cloud computing, and Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR). It has been determined that, in addition to the technological opportunities available to enterprises, Industry 4.0 technologies and tools also have a significant impact on business processes and organizational structures of companies. The study examines how digital technologies change business processes and establishes that enterprises gain flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to market changes, as well as the possibility to develop new business models oriented towards analytics and service. It is noted that the effectiveness of technology implementation varies depending on the economic sector, the degree of modernization, access to financial resources, and the level of personnel qualification. The advantages, challenges, and overall effect of implementing Industry 4.0 technologies in various sectors of the Ukrainian economy are presented. It has been identified that key challenges remain high investment costs, insufficient digital infrastructure, and a shortage of qualified personnel, which limit the pace of technology implementation in different industries. Based on the results of the conducted research, strategies for enhancing the adaptability of Ukrainian enterprises to changes in the context of implementing Industry 4.0 have been proposed, taking into account the specifics of each economic sector. These include investing in the development of digital infrastructure, creating educational programs in collaboration with universities, and active state support through financial incentives and grants. Recommendations are also provided regarding the technological development of Ukrainian enterprises in the context of Industry 4.0: modernization of management processes, support for startups, improvement of the legal framework, and international cooperation. These measures will enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and ensure sustainable economic development of the country in the conditions of global digital transformation.
